C.O.P.E. Project

Challenging Outdoor Personal Experience • Ages 14 and up

What is C.O.P.E.?

C.O.P.E. (Challenging Outdoor Personal Experience) is Scouting America’s adventure and personal development program that challenges participants physically and mentally through team-based outdoor activities.

At Guajataka, the C.O.P.E. Project is available for groups ages 14 and up: Scouts BSA, youth groups and corporate teams.

Why C.O.P.E.?

C.O.P.E. builds key skills that extend far beyond camp:

  • Planning and organization
  • Self-esteem and personal confidence
  • Leadership and decision-making
  • Teamwork and communication
  • Creative problem solving
