The mission of Scouting America (formerly Boy Scouts of America) is to prepare young people- boys and girls, to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Scout Law.

Since 1927, the Scouting America Puerto Rico Council has been in service of thousands of youths on the island of Puerto Rico. The Puerto Rico council also owns and manages the Guajataka Scout Reservation which hosts youth year-round from Puerto Rico and the rest of the United States.
