The mission of Scouting America (formerly Boy Scouts of America) is to prepare young people- boys and girls, to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Scout Law.

Since 1927, the Scouting America Puerto Rico Council has been in service of thousands of youths on the island of Puerto Rico. In 2024 alone, the Puerto Rico Council has:

  • 3,815 Youth Served.
  • 14,000 Service Hours.
  • 2,678 Merit Badges.
  • 2,734 Cubs Advancements.
  • 500 Scoutreach Scouts without cost to families.
  • Numerous year-round events and camp programs at the Guajataka Scout Reservation, in San Sebastián, PR.

Act 60 Charitable Contribution Eligible Entity

The Scouting America Puerto Rico Council is listed as a nonprofit entity which operates in Puerto Rico and is certified under Section 1101.01 of the Puerto Rico Internal Revenue Code, eligible for Act 60 (former Act 20/22) Charity Donations which qualify under both contribution categories – Eradicating Child Poverty and other services rendered directly to the community.
